The United Nations Information Centre together with the Apartheid Museum is holding an exhibition on 14 years since the Rwandan Genocide. The opening will take place on Sunday 27th January from 3 pm at the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. Survivors of the Holocaust and the Rwanda genocide will share their personal experiences. Films on Rwanda will also be shown.
While the Holocaust is of course a unique tragedy for the Jewish people, it is also important to share and relate this experience to the suffering of others. Thus IAS has over the years, devoted much space to covering Rwanda. I think this event is definitely worth a visit. I hope to go and cover it for the blog.
