Shew, what a hammering from the ignorant callers who didn't even know what the report was about. They thought it was a report just on South Africa; rather than a report on all Council members where South Africa just happened to score worst.

My favourite was the Muslim caller who discredited Hiller revealing the shocking kicker that Hillel is ...'a Jew!'

And of course a Jew always has an ulterior motive unless he is supporting the Palestinians.

No racism in SA...none at all.

Wow, it was really rough stuff. Amazing how defensive people are when an outsider dares to criticize. My best was the man who said we do not recognize this report. Ha ha. I mean who is he not to recognize it. I challenge him to show that South Africa did not vote how the report says they did.

More examples of what is becoming quite typical "Proudly South African" xenophobia. This is what happens when patriotism and partisanship collide.

Hillel

arguing with an intellectual about their logic, or the basic premises on which they base their argument is one thing.

The show, though I didn't hear it, apparently managed to bring out Mr Average South African (if there is such a thing) and exposed him for all his ignorance, stupidity, biases, prejudices and idiocy.

The comments on "not recognising the report", not knowing what the report was about, and discrediting Neuer because he's Jewish (on which logic the caller probably discredited himself because he's a muslim, duh!) reflect the masses, or at least the vocal portion of them. It exposes just how educated and clear thinking they are. Good luck trying to get public support for a positive change in SA when this is the standard of supporter you need.
