Rhetoric:
Sad reality:
Left image: Television footage shows Fatah members being escorted out of the Preventive Security headquarters by Hamas gunmen in Gaza City June 14, 2007. Stripped to the waist, the Fatah defenders, their hands raised in surrender, were herded out of the compound by their Hamas captors. Medical workers said five people were killed in the battle and pavements were stained with blood. Hamas fighters on Thursday captured one of the last Gaza City bastions of forces loyal to Western-backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Green Islamist flags fluttered from the rooftop of the Preventive Security headquarters in Gaza City -- a powerful symbol to residents that Hamas had taken control after five days of bloodshed in which more than 80 people have been killed. The New SA always sides with whoever is most anti-Western and anti-Israel, so I think I know who they will support in this!

Gary,
I agree with your prediction.
Ronno Einstein has put South Africa in bed with Haniyeh and
Ahmadinejad. The mind boggles....

At least 160 Palestinians were killed and 796 wounded in last week's fighting between Fatah and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, according to a report published Sunday by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights Al-Mizan.
More than half of the casualties were Fatah activists and members of the Palestinian Authority security forces, the report noted. Hamas lost 28 of its men, while 45 civilians were killed from June 10-17, the report added.
The center said the death toll could still rise because many remained unaccounted for and because of the severity of the injuries of dozens of people."

I await the next revolting ZAPIRO cartoon, acusing Israel of being behind the intra-Palestinian war.
Posted by: Gary | June 18, 2007 at 12:08
Gary,
I have emailed Zapiro the following idea for a cartoon:
Olmert (with Star of David armband) and Bush ( wearing military
uniform) handing out Kalashnikovs in Gaza . All around Palestinian kids
are dying.
Caption: "DON'T BLAME US. WE DIDN'T DO IT"
ps; Ferial has just offered me a job on The Mail and Guardian. I am
employed as a ghost writer for Ronno Einstein.

But no mention of massacre here. Why no emergence UN session. No scathing resolution? No fact finding mission? The world only seems to be up in arms when Jews kill Arabs.

Mike writes "The world only seems to be up in arms when Jews kill Arabs".
Or when Jews try to protect themselves from being killed by Arabs.

Mike,
I am sure that Desmond Tutu will soon shouting that he can't lead
another fact finding mission. There are no "double standards" in South
Africa. If there were The FXI, M&G and SAHRC etc would expose them.
