Hope you like it. It's also a little bit wider now with the middle column a whopping 550 pixels instead of the paltry 500. (A move that left my new banner somewhat narrower than the blog's canvas space, but that will be fixed.)
It still makes the blog very narrow on huge monitors with stellar resolutions exceeding 1024. But here in SA resolutions of 800 by 600 are still quite common and need to be catered for.
I tried to implement alot of what I have learned from Mark Forrester's Digital Farm (tried is perhaps the operative word). His blog is an excellent resource for anyone interested in web design.
looks very nice in mozilla. the only thing I hate is the flashy ads on the right - I dont mind ads just the flashing is distracting. but i am just picky so dont mind me. it looks good!

Thanks Katherine. It's also a bit old now, still promoting digital planet's easter deals :)

yeah that is quite funny - I don't even know when Easter was :)

You don't know when Easter was? The Holy Land is corrupting you!
Does Israel deliberately suppress Catholics by using Hebrew dates to confuse about when Easter is?

I think that must be it :) seriously I am as bad as most Israelis these days - if Christmas was not on a fixed date I would probably have no clue when it is. You just don't notice - this year I had lectures at 8am both Christmas and New Years day - and then stayed at school til late. No celebrating for me!
I think the holy land uses that silly hebrew date system to confuse everyone - natives and immigrants alike. Despite the fact that I am now fluent, I am still incredibly resistant to learning the dates in hebrew. I won't! You can't make me! :)
