Update: Unfortunately the voting security is preventing most South Africans from voting.
The third Annual Jewish and Israeli Blog Awards has been launched over at JibAwards.com. The awards are broken up into 2 rounds of voting for each nomination group, kind of like semi-finals and then the finalists.
The first round of voting started yesterday and closes one week later on Sunday 29 April.
We have been nominated in two categories
We have also been nominated in some other categories for the best post, best humour post and best series posts. The voting for these groups starts next week.
Other South African blogs that have been nominated and that are worthy of your support are
- Rabbi Shishler.blogspot.com by our very own Rabbi Shishler - vote here and here
- Guide to the Perplexed by Joel Pollak - vote here
A special mention should go to Soccer Dad, creator of the long running blog carnival Haveil Havalim. Soccer Dad to me is the Godfather of Jewish and Israeli blogs and no one puts more effort than him into trying to publicise other blogs.
You can vote for Haveil Havalim in the best contribution category and you can vote for Soccer Dad in the Best Pro-Israel Advocacy and Best News/Current Affairs categories.
Good luck to all the nominated blogs! Also, thanks to the organisers who have done a great job this year.
Wow.
Thanks so much.
I don't need to win anything now, what you wrote is the biggest compliment (blogging wise) that I could ask for.
