I have decided to rename the Smirking Chimp Award to the Smoking Socks award. It is a weekly award that goes to a letter writer whose illogic presented in a letter to a South African newspaper could only stem from smoking the dirtiest of socks.
Who was smoking their socks last week? Today's award goes to a writer to the South African Jewish Report.
I disengage – and I engage On September 14 my wife, my daughter and myself are making aliya. (I am 73). I disengage from a community who over the years has become apathetic to the land of Israel and to many of its people. I refer to the parts of Eretz Yisrael being given to the evil enemy and the fate of those wonderful Jews recently expelled. I disengage from the South African Jewish media, the lay leaders and many religious leaders who support the corrupt Israeli Government and hardly ever question the decisions as long as those decisions come out of a corrupt leftist secular media. We have just witnessed the state-sponsored terror against Jews and all we have seen from SA Jews are a few crocodile tears and worthless prayers for the welfare of those carrying out this foul deed, namely the leaders and defenders of the State of Israel. What has happened to the caring for the Land of Israel and the courageous “settlers”? I disengage from the Jews in SA who are callous, cynical and non-caring just because they do not live not only in Israel, but not even in Yesha. And unfortunately there are many. Stupid, small-minded, petty and shallow people, so comfortable in their exiled cemetery. Jews who delude themselves into believing they are sophisticated, worldy, and democratic and that if only we give the Arabs more and more of Eretz Yisrael the rest of the world will love us. Finally I especially disengage from the SA Jewish report and the SA Jewish Board of Deputies for their total disregard of supporting an authentic Jewish country in Eretz Yisrael and for giving a forum to Jews in SA who are guilt-ridden and would like to see Israel carved up. |
There’s more, but this trash isn’t online…I’m actually typing it out. Well…Israel’s loss (being that this deluded moron is going to Israel) is South Africa’s gain.
Moving on...South Africans still seem to be obsessed with the fact that Israel bulldozed the settlers' houses. Again I remind you that the PA even requested that the houses be destroyed because they are unsuitable to the needs of the residents of Gaza who require densely packed high rise flats.
This lovely letter (not our award winner) was printed in the Daily Dispatch.
IT is clear that the return of Gaza to the people who were forced out nearly forty years ago is being done by the Israeli government not in a spirit of goodwill and consultation and co-operation with the Palestinian government but reluctantly and with ill will. One can understand - which is not to say excuse - the actions of those settlers who torched their homes on leaving. They cannot be excused because they were heavily subsidised to appropriate Palestinian territory, and they are being compensated on vacating. But when the Israeli government bulldozes the houses after the settlers have moved, what is its material or moral benefit from that act of malice? They could have negotiated with the Palestinian authorities to buy the houses. |
Umm...ja ne?
am I allowed to swear on your blog? Well just consider that I did. %%$$^ing nitwits! Just makes me happier that Israel doesnt care what the world things, because the world knows nothing about Israel.
