It is now clear to all that the terrorist supporters at the MRN lied when they categorically stated that there is no al-Qaeda activity in South Africa.
Minister of Intelligence Ronald Kasrils has responded to CIA reports appearing in the Sunday Independant that Al-Qaeda leaders are in SA.
The newspaper said that a special investigation aired by the American television network CBS at the weekend revealed that a recent CIA report had identified 29 new leaders serving as a "second and third tier" in the al-Qaeda hierarchy stretching from Pakistan and Iraq to South Africa.
Kasrils says that elements of Al Qaeda have been detected in South Africa, but added that no networks have yet been established.
Johannesburg doctor Feroz Ganchi and Pretoria student Zubair Ismail were arrested with 12 other terror suspects in Gujrat on July 25 when Pakistani authorities conducted raids to capture suspected al-Qaeda agents.
It is worth noting that no networks have yet been established according to Kasrils' knowledge. But this is the same knowledge that creates the following statements
Internationally, Kasrils said, the key challenge lay in addressing the fundamental causes of the anger and frustration that fuelled terrorism.
And yet the media constantly refer to the MRN for opinions which get stated as fact.
Ridiculous.

Wait a minute! You mean the mujahideen can be found anywhere in the world--even in South Africa?! Well, now I've heard it all. My word...
