Last night I was lucky enough to get a good view of Comet McNaught. It has already been described as the brightest comet we have seen since 1965 and some even predict that it will be the brightest comet we have seen in the past 100 years!

And yes, it really was this spectacular. (Image is of Comet McNaught seen in the New Zealand skies.)

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, I tried to see Comet McNaught and just saw the Naught.
